Ahold Delhaize is looking for a Cloud Platform Architect. In this role you will work to drive and define Hybrid Reference architectures that are in line with the company Security Control and Service Management Control framework and considers the hybrid nature of our environment. (Datacenter hosted applications and Azure cloud hosted applications).

Your impact:  

In your daily responsibilities, you will collaborate with inspiring (inter)national colleagues and hiring managers across diverse technology platforms. You will report to Adnan Olmez, Tech hub lead, and work closely with his local management team and the wider Total Talent Acquisition team.

About the role:

You will collaborate intensively with our engineering and solution design engineers and will also be an important voice and representative of the BeCSee (Belgium, Greece, Romania, Serbia and Czech Republic) teams into the Architecture SIG (Special Interest Groups that are a way of driving synergies on cloud in the Ahold Delhaize Group) and other SIG initiatives. Ahold Delhaize has a cloud first strategy (Azure) and we are in the middle of a ‘move to cloud journey’ where via the 6 R’s principles we modernize/transform/L&S applications to cloud taking into accounts parameters like: cost, lifecycle (application, OS and Database), complexity, etc

Responsibilities:

• Engaging with stakeholders and peers to provide lead consultancy and guidance.

• Delivery of technical reference designs for Azure components and onboarding new applications.

• Support the solution design team with the delivery, review and acceptance of design documentation

• Define on-prem to cloud migration strategies for legacy workloads.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as an Azure Cloud architect.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to gather customer requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

• Ability to mentor other colleagues on the latest cloud concepts and architectural vision.

• Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services.

• Knowledge about Azure Networks and Global connectivity between on premise Private and Public datacenters.

• Experience in automating infrastructure and software delivery pipelines.

• Experience with version control systems (Git / GitHub / Azure repos).

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Bicep / Terraform / Ansible) • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions).

• Scripting experience (PowerShell / Python / Bash).

• Database knowledge, MS SQL (both IaaS / PaaS).
